What is Aetas Performance Institute?Aetas roughly translates to "through the generations." It began as my personal journey. After nearly 20 years of practice as an orthopaedic trauma surgeon, I knew I loved helping people heal from catastrophe – but for most of my practice, I could only help after it struck. I wanted to share knowledge that could prevent injury or minimize the impact. And thus, I began my personal Aetas journey.Much like my patients, my body bears scars and injuries from accidents and life choices. My own father struggles to rise from his chair after a lifetime of labor as a dentist. My children are just starting on their paths, unaware of the impact the choices they make today will have on their future health and mobility.My personal journey toward improved health and restored movement has transformed into a living beta lab--testing, failing, iterating, distilling, and curating the mountains of information available into the pillars that form the core of the Aetas plan.Aetas Performance Institute started with my family and grew from there. Helping my parents reclaim the joy of movement and guiding my kids toward lifelong practices that support generational health, that's the impetus behind Aetas' mission: optimizing performance today while encouraging practices that extend health span for every generation.Movement is the vehicle for change – the metaphorical strategy and literal tactic for maintaining health and joy. We leverage generational knowledge to shift the learning curve for families.I've immersed myself in cutting-edge thinking and practice on performance and longevity. My family and I are implementing what I am learning in real time – we'd love your company on this journey.
